With an eye on the business market, Nokia hit back at Motorola in 2001 with a phone which many 30-something consumers still believe to be the best mobile phone ever produced: the Nokia 6310. With a battery that seemed to never run out, the 6310 quickly became the first choice of executives across Europe. The following year the Finnish company added tri-band capability to the phone with the 6310i which quickly surpassed the Motorola Timeport as the mark of a successful business executive.
