Bursting at the Seams
Dramatic plumes, both large and small, spray water ice out from many locations along the famed 'tiger stripes' near the south pole of Saturn's moon Enceladus. The tiger stripes are fissures that spray icy particles, water vapor and organic compounds.
This mosaic was created from two high-resolution images that were captured by the narrow-angle camera when NASA's Cassini spacecraft flew past Enceladus and through the jets on Nov. 21, 2009. Imaging
Reventando en las Costuras
penachos Dramáticos, tanto grande como pequeño, rocían el sorbete de muchas posiciones(ubicaciones) a lo largo el célebre ' las rayas de tigre cerca del poste del sur de la luna del Saturno Enceladus. Las rayas de tigre son las grietas que rocían partículas heladas, beben el vapor y compuestos orgánicos.
Este mosaico fue creado de dos imágenes de alta resolución que fueron capturadas por la cámara estrecha de ángulo cuando la nave espacial Cassini de la NASA voló por delante Enceladus y por los motores el 21 de noviembre de 2009. La imagimática los motores con el tiempo permitirá a científicos Cassini para estudiar la consistencia de su actividad.
