Check out the enormous flare erupting in the last frame!
Set up on my front porch (facing west), and was visited by 8 random passers-by asking to have a look. Gotta love that the general world is interested in science!
This is approx 20 frames of data from 6:05pm to 7:15pm ET from Toronto, Canada. The scope is a Lunt LS60Ha and the camera is a DMK21AU618.
More photos and videos to come when I have time to process.
Thanks Venus, see ya in 2117!

Transit of Venus 2012 - 3rd Contact
My Last shot of the Transit of Venus.
This was as close as I could get to 3rd contact, as the sun was hidden by cloud at the exact time.
Once again, taken with the teleconverter at 1000mm.
Although the weather was ordinary for 90% of the time, I'm glad I got to witness and capture this fantastic astronomical event.
See you again in 2117... well probably not
