“Bach didn't just make 'simple' transcriptions, neither in this original solo concerto by Vivaldi. There's always something new and different about them.” Harpsichordist Richard Egarr talks about the Concerto in D major, which he performed for All of Bach on a harpsichord by Johannes Ruckers that is over 350 years old and part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Recorded for the project All of Bach on 11 May 2018 at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam
