Today is the first day of a two-week conference in Copenhagen, during which world leaders will decide a successor to the Kyoto protocol. Each country's delegation is preparing for battle, and activists have gathered in the city, which is peppered with art installations to raise awareness of what is at stake if a strong deal is not made
